A program supporting the assessment of noise exposure at the workplace, divided into activities
(Note: The program performs calculations in accordance with the standards applicable in the European Union)

The program allows you to assess noise exposure and provides noise level and/or exposure time reduction values for individual activities when the exposure limit value is exceeded. This is a trial version (it is made available for testing) and I will be grateful for any comments about the shortcomings noticed, and suggestions for what functions the software can be supplemented with in the next version.

The program is quite simple to use and (at least it seems to me) quite intuitive. However, if some issues are not clear, please send information to the e-mail address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The tested version will probably be made available in the near future as part of CIOP-PIB information materials.

The current version can be found at the following address:

Clarifications regarding comments sent

  • Next to the Leq[dB] value, the values of the levels are given, which, if achieved, will ensure compliance with the standard. Similarly, the activity duration values. Either a reduction in noise levels for all activities or a reduction in noise exposure time should be considered. It is not necessary to correct both factors at the same time as part of the actions taken. Of course, this is by no means prohibited (or even recommended).
  • If the requirements of the standard are met, the recommended corrections are not displayed (there is nothing to correct).
  • The darker upper portions of the bars in the histogram show the noise level values by which the levels should be corrected to meet the requirements of the standard. Of course, in the absence of exceedances, as in the case of the correction values given in parentheses in the table, such "blackouts" do not appear.
  • I suggest experimenting with test data imported via a dedicated function key.
