    The last session of the Labor Protection Council entitled "The role of safety culture in the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases" took place on April 26 - this time in the Column Hall of the Parliament building. The solemn nature of the event was related to the celebration of the International Day of Remembrance for Victims of Work Accidents and Occupational Diseases, which falls on April 28. This year, the slogan announced by the International Labor Organization is "Safety culture - a common cause".

After putting on the VR goggles, the user can interact with the elements of this reality. One of the fields where this technology can be used is supporting traditional teaching methods. The aim of the research discussed in the article was to assess the impact of acoustic conditions on the perceived strain and fatigue of office workers.

    After a two-year break caused by the pandemic, the Occupational Health and Safety Staff Championship, organized by the Safe at Work Coalition, returns to the calendar of the most important events in the occupational safety and health industry. The sixth edition of this nationwide competition addressed to OSH specialists and all those interested in this subject started on May 9.
  • Working environment conditions in EU countries in the light of Eurostat studies (20)
    The working environment conditions include material and psychosocial factors that an employee comes into contact with while performing work and which may affect his health and mental well-being. The most recent information on these conditions in EU countries is provided by the Eurostat study "Accidents at work and work-related health problems" conducted in 2020 as a module study for the Labor Force Survey. The article presents indicators characterizing the working environment conditions in the EU countries based on the results of this study.
  • Identification of threats at surveyor's workstations (24)
    The article presents a subjective identification of threats at surveyor's workstations (case study) on the example of selected enterprises. They differ mainly in the type of work performed and the same baggage of experience of the employed people, collected over many years of work in geodesy. A checklist in the form of an anonymous questionnaire was used to identify the threats. The most important threats occurring in the field and at the office workplace were identified and preventive measures were proposed to minimize the impact of these threats on the level of work safety. The level of workers' heat load was also examined by simulating the measurements of microclimate parameters in the field and determining the WBGT values and relating them to the normative values.

    Every year on 5 May the European Day for Combating Discrimination of Persons with Disabilities and the Day of Dignity of Persons with Intellectual Disability are celebrated. On this occasion, it is worth considering whether this group of people is struggling with the phenomenon of occupational discrimination on a daily basis and what actions are taken by national institutions for the employment of Persons with Disabilities.
