Experts from the Safe at Work Coalition identified the most important trends in the health and safety industry for this year. Some of them, such as those related to COVID-19, are not surprising at all (we are finally entering the third year of the pandemic), others are a natural consequence of the ongoing pandemic, and others have intensified almost overnight.

Each year, on 28 April, we celebrate World Day for Safety and Health at Work, established and coordinated by the International Labor Organization. This year, it will be devoted to shaping the culture of work safety, in particular to the issues of employee participation and the role of social dialogue in this process.

Ergonomic interventions are one of the basic methods of preventing the occurrence of excessive loads at the workplace. The aim of this article is to present intervention strategies that prevent the development of musculoskeletal ailments in office workplaces. Strategies for the optimization of the body position during work and the reduction of working time in a sitting position were presented.

The aim of the study presented in the article was a comprehensive assessment of the psychosocial working conditions of city and long-distance bus drivers. The study covered 500 bus drivers from 52 different transport companies. The study showed that the drivers of these vehicles do not constitute a homogeneous professional group in terms of psychosocial risks in the work environment. City bus drivers have a higher level of emotional demands and pace of work, and they also flout from long-distance bus drivers in terms of work organization conditions, and levels of stress and well-being.
